Butterfly Trail Fire Recovery
We need some stalwart and tough volunteers to join us for an epic trail work adventure on the AZT's wilderness bypass in the Santa Catalina Mountains. The Butterfly Trail was seriously impacted by the Bighorn Fire of 2020, and this year's heavy monsoon rains have created overgrowth of vegetation and significant tread issues. Wilderness Bypass Work Weekend on Butterfly Trail
What better way to spend Labor Day weekend than in the forest at the top of the Santa Catalina mountains? This piece of trail received lots of special attention in 2017 so we want to be sure it stays in great shape moving forward. We'll hike in and establish a camp at Novio Spring on Saturday. Pusch Ridge Wilderness Volunteer Vacation
The Arizona Trail Association has received a grant from the National Wilderness Stewardship Alliance to work on the Arizona Trail as it travels through the Pusch Ridge Wilderness in the Santa Catalina Ranger District of the Coronado National Forest.
