Did you know that according to the Corporation for National and Community Service only an average of 25.3 percent, or about one in four, Americans volunteer their time each year? Arizona ranks slightly below the national average, with only 23.3 percent of Arizonans donating volunteer time in 2015. The good news, however, is that in 2015 more than 1.2 million Arizonans volunteered their time, with an average of 36.4 hours donated. This resulted in a total of 174.36 million volunteer hours, or the equivalent of 4.5 billion dollars, contributed to Arizona’s economy.
