Friends of the Brown Canyon Ranch Work Day – Thursday, August 29, 2019 8:00am to 11:00am

We are looking for community members to volunteer and support our work day in advance of wonderful Brown Canyon Ranch Western Heritage Education Program. Please join us at Brown Canyon Ranch for a work day on Thursday, August 29th from 8a.m. to 11:00am. The regular Brown Canyon Ranch Western Heritage Program takes place on Tuesdays and Wednesdays during September and October for fourth and fifth grade students from schools throughout the local Cochise County region. Classes to come to the Brown Canyon Ranch and learn local history and take part in hands-on activities put on by Friends of the Brown Canyon Ranch, community members and Forest Service volunteers.
We are also looking for substitutes and standby assistants to volunteer as necessary.
Please bring water, sunscreen, sunglasses, hat, jeans, sturdy shoes and a sack lunch – and an inquiring mindset!

From Sierra Vista travel south on HWY 92 to Ramsey Canyon Road, turn west, toward the mountains. Drive approximately 2 miles, when you pass Calle Metate look for the sign for Brown Canyon Ranch. Turn right and follow the dirt for about one mile to the ranch house.
