Repair Damaged Desert at the Mason Center

October 27, 2018 @ 8:00 am - 12:00 pm

You may have heard about last week’s terrible incursion by a vehicle into the Ironwood/Saguaro preserve at our Mason Center. A van drove approximately 1/4 mile across the site creating ruts in the damp soil and damaging many cacti and cholla.

Saturday, October 27; 8:00 am–12 pm. Please consider joining Tucson Audubon Staff, Board members, and other volunteers as we work to fix as much of the damage as possible. It’s a mountain of work and we need your help to smooth out ruts, plant seed, cholla and prickly pear (gloves are a good idea!). We’ll have tools available, but additional tools will be helpful depending on turnout. Sign up for this event at https://tas.z2systems.com/np/clients/tas/eventRegistration.jsp?event=5265&
