Wilderness Society is looking for a summer intern to work in Tucson on an emerging Urban-to-Wild program expansion here. The Tucson Outreach and Engagement Intern position is an exciting new internship that will focus on assessing growth opportunities for The Wilderness Society’s Urban to Wild (U2W) program in the Tucson metro area, a new policy and advocacy program focused on exploring options for multiple-organizational government/NGO opportunities to increase urban park and community/streetscape amenities and access to nearby public lands; including closing gaps and addressing inequities in the region’s parks and open space network and facilitating connections to nature via creative transit and policy solutions within our growing urban centers and to public lands and wilderness beyond. Please see the website for details and how to apply.
