Wilderness Volunteers Buffelgrass Removal

Join Wilderness Volunteers for a week-long service project that will focus on removing invasive buffelgrass and fountain grass in Saguaro National Park. Using digging tools such as picks, rock hammers, and rock bars, we’ll combat these noxious weeds that fill in the open spaces in the Sonoran Desert, crowding out native plants and competing for nutrients, water, and sunshine, and pose a huge fire risk.
